LOCAL MAN HONORED FOR HELPING OTHERS....
David Fenoglio, Montague County Child Welfare Board Member, was recently honored at a luncheon for the Texas Council of Child Welfare Boards. “David was honored by receiving the Texas State Volunteer of the Year Award”, reported Lorra Lierly, Chairman of the Montague County Child Welfare Board. David has been an outstanding member of the Montague County Board raising thousands of dollars in order to provide support to the abused and neglected children in the county who are involved in CPS care.
The Montague County Child Welfare Board is composed of volunteers who help abused and neglected kids in the county by meeting their needs for health, education, and welfare. Because of the successful fund raising efforts, extensive training and counseling is able to be provided at Patsy’s House/Child Advocacy Center in Bowie for the kids, parents, and foster parents. Lorra Lierly, Board Chairman, added “Without the support and help of our county’s citizens and board members like David, we would not be able to provide the extent of services we give these kids. There is an epidemic of documented cases of abuse and neglect in our county, and our friends and neighbors have been fantastic in supporting our efforts to fight the drugs, abuse, and neglect that so sadly impact these kids.”
